DISCIPLESHIP IS GOD'S ONLY DESIGN FOR PERSONAL GROWTH
During the last 3 years of Jesus' life, he chose twelve disciples in which to impart his life's purpose, "To seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). The "lost" is the fellowship we once had with God. Discipleship is the special relationship that Jesus had with his twelve disciples, restoring that lost fellowship they had with God. This relationship served as a model that Jesus commanded them and now us to continue (Matthew 28:19). This is God's only plan for personal growth. He inspired us to develop the Minneapolis Discipleship Program as one of the models that he is using.
